BRIEF

Create a spa for a cultural-district hotel that would resist the region's default vocabulary — no gold, no gloss, no lobby-scale gesture competing with the treatment itself.

DESIGN RESPONSE

The spa descends into dark stone. Daylight enters through narrow cuts, arriving as blades across rock and water. Treatment rooms hold the temperature of the stone. The city is heard, faintly, and never seen.

OUTCOME

The spa books independently of hotel occupancy — guests travel across Doha for the darkness itself. Average treatment spend runs well above the district benchmark.
